Geoffrey Turner is the Conservative candidate of record for Etobicoke Centre. He is a tax lawyer at the Toronto law firm he joined in 1991, and has been teaching tax courses as an adjunct professor for over 22 years, currently at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and Osgoode Hall Law School. He has volunteered for JDRF Canada over 14 years.
Geoffrey lives in the Kingsway neighbourhood of Etobicoke with his wife, Leslie, their two children, both of whom attended public schools in Etobicoke Centre, and their two yellow labs. He enjoys cycling the scenic bike paths of Etobicoke Centre including along the Humber River, the West Deane Trail and Etobicoke Creek.
Geoffrey is running for public office to promote fiscally responsible economic policies, tax reform to enhance Canada’s competitiveness, and a more robust and principled leadership role for Canada in a world where democratic values and human rights are increasingly threatened.
Geoffrey has an undergraduate degree in economics from Queen’s University, a law degree from University of Toronto Faculty of Law, and a Master of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School. Prior to university, Geoffrey attended Pearson College UWC where he completed his International Baccalaureate.
