Pints and Politics, Fall Economic Statement

Pints and Politics – Etobicoke Centre Conservative Association

Please join us for a social evening of pints and politics at the St. James Gate pub, where our Etobicoke Centre candidate of record, Geoffrey Turner, will discuss the fall economic statement and offer a critique from a Conservative perspective.

Geoffrey will walk us through key sections of the fall economic statement to explain their significance, assess the long-term deficit and debt projections, evaluate the government’s spending priorities, interpret the most significant tax measures, and discuss what we Conservatives might have done differently. Despite the government’s efforts to portray their approach as fiscally restrained, we will show this is not the case. This will be an informal half hour presentation followed by an open Q & A discussion, with time afterward for drinks, pub snacks and conversation with our members.

Geoffrey Turner is the Conservative Party candidate of record for Etobicoke Centre. He is a tax lawyer at a leading Toronto law firm, and Adjunct Professor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and Osgoode Hall Law School.

Space at the pub is limited, so please RSVP early.
