Geoffrey Turner
Geoffrey is the Conservative Party candidate of record for Etobicoke Centre. He is a tax lawyer at a leading Toronto law firm, and is Adjunct Professor at both the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and Osgoode Hall Law School, where he has just completed teaching the winter term courses in Income Tax Law and Corporate Taxation.
Geoffrey will walk us through key sections of the budget document to explain their significance, assess the long-term deficit and debt projections, evaluate the government’s spending priorities, interpret the most significant tax measures, and discuss what we Conservatives might have done differently. Despite the government’s efforts to portray this budget as fiscally restrained, we will demonstrate that is not the case. This will be an informal one hour online session with open Q & A discussion after Geoffrey’s presentation where you may provide your reaction to the budget and ask any questions.
